PC Doctors Initial On-Site / Three Year Limited Warranty Policy for Desktop Computers One Year Express Warranty for Laptop Computers
(If your PC Doctors system was purchased before November 3, 1999,
our 3-Year Limited Warranty on Desktops/ One Year Warranty on Laptops was in effect.
PC Doctors provides an initial on-site/ three year limited
warranty on all integrated desktop computer systems, and a one year express warranty on all
laptop systems. As of November 3, 1999 all complete desktop systems integrated by
PC Doctors , and all laptop systems are warranted from the invoice purchase
date. Your warranty insures that certified technicians will provide you with prompt phone
support and repair service should you ever need it during the first full year you own your
system, and for desktops, on a limited basis for two additional years. You have the option
to extend the on-site coverage of your desktop to two or three years of on-site
service. You have the option to extend the coverage of your laptop to a full two or three
years of service.
During your first 90 days of system ownership, you will work directly
with PC Doctors certified technical support staff. We will provide assistance
over the phone to resolve any problems you may have. If your system needs repair, we will
have you ship it back to us for immediate service or replacement, at PC Doctors
option. For desktop systems, from the 91st to the 365th day of ownership, the On-Site Warranty
portion of your policy will take effect whereby if your problem can not be resolved over
the phone, a certified technician will come to your home or office within 48 hours to repair
your desktop.
Your warranty covers your system, including parts and labor costs
resulting from mechanical or electrical failure of the product caused by defects in
workmanship and/or materials. Non-original manufacturer's parts may be used for repair
of the product if the manufacturer's parts are unavailable or more costly. A system is
defined as a completed desktop or laptop unit including all components confined within a
system case. Additionally, the system includes mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, printer
and scanner when purchased at the same time as the system. When purchased separately, these
items are not covered. Laptop computer warranty coverage is provided only for the laptop-
peripherals are covered separately. The system warranty does not cover software or acquired
viruses.
At the termination of your initial on-site warranty, your desktop will be covered
for an additional 2 years under our Limited Warranty policy, whereby a fifty-dollar
($50.00) deductible per defective component will be applied to all claims on products
without manufacturer warranties that extend beyond the first year.
Laptop coverage ends after one year at which time the customer will be responsible for all repairs. To avoid such charges, you may opt to extend your warranty coverage to receive two or three full years of on-site desktop service, or two or three full years of laptop service. Prices for these upgrades are listed on each system's "Detail" page on our web site.
If you purchased peripherals for your PC Doctors desktop or laptop, they qualify for optional On-Site coverage. Please speak with your Sales Associate about details on purchasing On-Site Warranty coverage for peripherals.
How to Obtain Service During the First 90 Days of Ownership
PC Doctors certified technical support staff is available to all original customers. Should you encounter a problem with your
PC Doctors system within the first 90 days after purchase, you are to contact the
PC Doctors technical service department by phone at (757) 727-9263 and/or e-mail at
tech@PC Doctors. Our technical support staff will be responsible for assisting you during the first 90 days that you own your new system. We will attempt to resolve minor difficulties and malfunctions by phone or e-mail. However if our technical support staff can not resolve your problem in this manner we will ask you to ship your system to our testing and repair facility where technicians are readily available to conduct the proper repairs for you.
All returns must be pre-approved. Your return must include a Return Merchandise Authorization number
(RMA), which will be given to you by our Customer Service Department (757-727-9263). Any package received without an RMA number will be refused. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges to the warranty location. A copy of the packing slip must accompany all returns.
RETURN ITEMS MUST INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER'S PACKAGE WITH ALL ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER'S PACKING MATERIALS, MANUALS, DISKS, ETC. YOUR RMA# MUST BE WRITTEN ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE RETURNED PARCEL- BUT DO NOT WRITE ON THE MANUFACTURER'S ORIGINAL PACKAGING OR WARRANTY MAY BE VOIDED.
NOTE: Before you ship the product(s) to PC Doctors, back up the data on the hard-disk
drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s). Remove any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC Cards. If you have any questions, call
PC Doctors for technical assistance.
This warranty does not cover any loss of business, profits, or other consequential damage, real or perceived, that may have resulted from any malfunction of the computer system. Nor does it cover any unapproved hardware or software programs installed by the user. Only damage or malfunction due to ordinary wear and tear, which will be determined by
PC Doctors to be reasonable, will be covered under this warranty. Damage from flood, lightning strikes, earthquake, any other acts of God, mishandling, dropping, or infestation is not covered by this warranty. All warranties may be deemed void if
PC Doctors determines that the computer system has been damaged due to insufficient packaging during any return shipment back to
PC Doctors PC Doctors cannot reload any software not originally loaded by
PC Doctors Furthermore, this warranty is void if unauthorized parts, repairs, and/or alterations are made to the computer system.
PC Doctors reserves the right to determine whether alterations have been made, or damages caused, by such facts that would serve to void the terms of this warranty.
If a product was ordered incorrectly, does not work, or is not what you wanted - we will gladly help you return it.
How To Obtain Service After the from the 91st Day to the 365th Day of Ownership
From the 91st day to the 365th day (unless you opt for addition on-site coverage), coverage will be provided to you under an extended warranty administered by the National Electronics Warranty Co. (N.E.W.). We are pleased to be able to provide you with the wide range of outstanding services N.E.W. has to offer. As an industry leader in product protection and information services, they have an unmatched ability to provide nationwide on-site service performed by a network of experienced, certified technicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. Their certified technicians will attempt to resolve any problems over the phone. If your problems can't be resolved over the phone, then a certified repair technician will be dispatched to your home or office within 48 hours to repair your desktop computer. Regarding laptop computers, due to the more delicate components involved, laptops must be repaired in a certified-static-free repair facility. If your laptop needs to be physically repaired during your warranty period, N.E.W. will arrange for shipping at their expense. Once your laptop is received by N.E.W.'s repair facility, it will be repaired within 48 hours and returned to you via overnight delivery.
You may call N.E.W. at 1-800-366-8504 for referral to the nearest authorized service center. Foreign language assistance and TDD service for the hearing impaired are also available. For TDD service, please call 1-800-288-6990.
N.E.W. will repair or replace the product, or reimburse you for authorized repairs or replacement of the product at its discretion, when required due to breakdown, including those experienced during normal wear and tear, which is not covered under any other insurance policy, warranty or service contract. Commercially used products are covered only if the contract is specifically endorsed for commercial use. This contract includes the following enhanced coverage: 1)repairs necessary for the product to meet the manufacturer's written specifications 2)lightning damage after expiration of the manufacturer's labor warranty and not covered by other insurance 3) free transferability.
N.E.W. will mail you a Validation within 45 days of the invoice date of your system purchase which outlines these terms in greater detail. If for some reason you do not receive this within 45 days of purchase, please call N.E.W.
Warranty Policy for Individual Component Purchases
PC Doctors will warranty all component purchases against manufacturer defects for a period of one (1) year. Products must be returned in original packaging and have all the original markings, labels, serial numbers and manufacturer tags intact or warranty may be voided.
PC Doctors offers a thirty-day money back guarantee on all products. All processors, however, carry only a 20 day warranty, unless as part of a
PC Doctors computer system. Some products sold by PC Doctors carry longer warranties offered by the manufacturer. Customers should deal directly with the manufacturer for a defective product outside of the one year warranty period, unless you choose to upgrade to an extended 2 or 3 year on-site warranty (see below). Return Policy for Software Purchases
PC Doctors offers a thirty-day money back guarantee on all unopened software products sold. Refunds will not be offered on any opened software. Opened software can only be exchanged for the same item within 30 days of the original purchase.

Refurbished Merchandise
Component products that have been refurbished by PC Doctors are warranted to be free of defect, and in working order, for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase by
PC Doctors. These products will not be integrated into systems by PC Doctors technicians. Technical support will be provided for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. Products which experience defects will be either serviced by
PC Doctors technicians, replaced by the same item or an item of similar functionality/ purpose or returned for credit at
PC Doctors discretion.
PC Doctors systems that have been refurbished by PC Doctors are warranted to be free of defect, and in working order, for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. Technical support will be provided for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. Systems which experience defects will either be serviced by
PC Doctors technicians, replaced with an identical system, replaced by a system of similar specifications, or returned for credit at
PC Doctors discretion.
Refurbished merchandise, which has been refurbished by the manufacturer to manufacturer's specifications, is warranted by the manufacturer. All warranty claims should be made directly to the manufacturer as indicated by the documentation included with the product.

Open-Box Merchandise
Open-box merchandise is certified to be free of defect, and in working order, for a period of 5 days from the date of purchase by
PC Doctors. If that item is found to be defective in that span, PC Doctors will replace it. No refunds are available on open-box merchandise.
